Mary Grishaver has a master's degree in biology from San Diego State University and worked in California doing environmental impact studies. For several years she studied the breeding biology of the California Gnatcatcher. She moved to Pennsylvania 14 years ago and has worked on a couple of local projects-- surveying forest nesting birds and studying sparrows nesting on reclaimed strip mines. She is now retired and enjoys birding as a hobby. |
